REFORG Time Sheriff

Kids today think that they can do anything on a computer. With REFOG Time Sheriff you can limit mostly any program or website on your PC. It's a very handy parental control utility to have around.

The installation package is 5 Mb large and it features a standard wizard that will have the program up and running in under a minute.

The interface looks a lot like other programs from REFOG, like Personal Monitor. It features a tree like navigation pane on the left side of the window and an options list underneath. Once you click one of the entries, you'll see their details on the larger, right side of the main window.

It's all pretty straightforward, so you can restrict something with minimum effort. Select either the computer or Internet folders from the navigation pane and add a new group by clicking on the designated button from the toolbar. You can add computer or Internet groups from the same button.

Once you've created your group, you can add one or multiple programs or sites the same way you add a group, but on the right side of the window. REFOG Time Sheriff can restrict programs or applications from the Start Menu, Task Manager or one selected by the user. After clicking the "Add an application" button, you can select one from a long list, split into category tabs. Your added programs can then be limited to uses per day or to a certain time period. This is done either by buttons or by clicking and dragging on a time line, right under the list where you've added your applications.

The settings that REFOG Time Sheriff features include an invisibility option which makes the program very hard to find, warning messages, controlling computer time, updates and password protection. What's parental control without passwords? All these can be easily manipulated via check boxes and small dialog boxes.
